3. Trader Gunned Down

A rubber trader was murdered while waiting for appointment. The rubber trader, Kia Chean Joo, was shot dead in his car outside a coffee shop in Kampung Batu 8, Sik, Alor Setar. He was shot at point-blank range and he died of head injuries on the spot of the scene. Kia Chean Joo and his employee were way home from Betong at 5pm on Tuesday when the latter received a call that asking them to head to the coffee shop to discuss about a business deal. The appointment was set at 8pm. Kia Chean Joo and his employee was at the meeting point and waiting inside the car. A vehicle pulled alongside their car and a man wound down the window on the pretext of talking to Kia Chean Joo. He also wound his window down when the man suddenly pulled out a pistol and fired a shot hitting him in the head. CID chief Assistant Comm mentioned they had classified the case as murder. This news consists of conflict while the rubber trader wound down his window and get shot with the gun.
